The City of Rotterdam has designated a couple of neighbourhoods in the city as Assisted Living Area. An Assisted Living Area is a pleasant neighbourhood in which specific target groups (such as the elderly and people with disabilities) as independently as possible can control their own to live.
The neighbourhood Oud-Charlois has been designated as an Assisted Living Area. In this project, students of the TU Delft Architecture department made three designproposals on how to develop a life proof neighborhood in Oud-Charlois, based on GPS data and input from residents.
