In February 2009 the studio "Design strategies for problem areas" in the started. Peculiarity was that the students were inspired by the wishes and ideas of people who live and work in Oud-Charlois. During an introductory Confrontation College this authentic input led to personally formulated research questions.
Based on extensive analysis and research in the district, the students made (spatial) plans and strategies to improve the environment of Oud-Charlois desired by the residents. On March 20, the plans were presented to the district concerned.
The presentations of undergraduate students were focused on the aspects public space, art & culture, branding / image, social security and illegal real estate practices.
