Graduation thesis Bas Lewerissa

The Oud-Charlois district in Rotterdam South belonged for years to the Vogelaar Districts. The students design created by Bas Lewerissa for the area of the Charloisse Gardens is based on the existing strong elements of the neighbourhood, where a new city greenhouse must operate as a catalyst for social, educational and economic activities. Simultaneously the addition of new housing typologies functions, combined with the implementation of sustainable design solutions, functions as a concrete response to the current task around the undeveloped Vestia area along the Voornse Vliet.
